Stuart Tribelnig, the senior of three G4S guards, told a court that he did not force Jimmy Mubenga’s head down during the struggle after which he died.
The three guards are on trial for manslaughter, which they deny, at the high court in London.
Jimmy was restrained in the seat of a BA passenger airliner on the tarmac at Heathrow airport.
The guards are accused of pushing his upper body forward and down as he sat, in a position sometimes referred to as “carpet karaoke”. Asked by the prosecuting QC if this would be highly dangerous, he said, “I believe so.”
