Golders Green woman flies to Germany to call for new investigation into her son's death

A mother had made renewed calls to reopen an investigation into her son’s death, eight years after he was killed in “mysterious” circumstances. On Monday Erica Duggan flew to Wiesbaden in Germany to seek a meeting with the prosecutor handling her son Jeremiah’s case, but was told she was not available.

Jeremiah Duggan’s body was found on a road near the town, on March 27, 2003, and although German police ruled he had died in a road traffic accident the High Court ruled last May there were suspicious circumstances around it.

The Jewish 22-year-old had become mixed up with a right-wing group called La Rouche before he died.

But Mrs Duggan claims despite collating new evidence from eyewitnesses who claim to have seen Jeremiah being attacked before he died, the German authorities refuse to do anything about it.
